SiSiB® PC1106

Aqueous 3-aminopropylsilane hydrolysate.
Synonym: 3-Aminopropylsilanetriol

Countertype of Dynasylan 1151, Silquest A-1106, Silquest VS-142
Chemical Structure

Introduction
SiSiB® PC1106 is an aqueous solution of 3-Aminopropylsilane. SiSiB® PC1106 is an amino-functional silane which acts as an adhesion promoter between inorganic materials (glass, metals and fillers) and organic polymers (thermosets, thermoplastics and elastomers)

SiSiB® PC1106 is a colorless to slightly yellowish aqueous solution with an aminelike odor, miscible, with alcohols or water. SiSiB® PC1106 contains about 40% active silane content in water.

Applications
SiSiB® PC1106 is most often used in aqueous systems where the alcohol of hydrolysis causes instability of the formulation or where a high flash point additive is required.

SiSiB® PC1106 is an important additive in Waterborne Sealants, Waterborne Coatings, Waterborne Adhesives, Filler Treatment, Insulation Glass Fiber Binders, and Water based Primers.

SiSiB® PC1106 can improve mechanical properties, (such as flexural strength, tensile strength, impact strength and modulus of elasticity), moisture and corrosion resistance); also can improve processing properties, like adhesion, better filler dispersion, high flash point etc.
